Unveiling my new book, “Filling My Bucket: A Year of Solo Travel Across Seven Continents “

The day is officially here. After spending 2023 spinning around the world, including seventy-one flight segments, over 110,000 miles flown, visiting 25 countries, over 50 destinations and all seven continents in a single calendar year as a solo, LGBTQ traveler, my book “Filling My Bucket: A Year of Solo Travel Across Seven Continents” is published and available for purchase at both Amazon and Barnes & Noble in the links below.

The year was always about my personal growth.

Today is like giving birth to a baby. The nerves are heightened. I am unsure where this will lead and what the path in front of me will look like, but the excitement is HIGH.

“Filling My Bucket” is not a daily diary chronicling the travel, I’ll leave that account on my blog at mortgageguytravelstheworld.com. It is a story of adventure, self-discovery, and the transformative power of travel. I aim to inspire readers to pursue their own dreams and embrace the rich tapestry of human experiences around the world.

2023 proved to be the most challenging and remarkable year of my life. From Australia to Europe, and Antarctica to the Far East, I realized I wasn't just checking items off a bucket list; instead, I was actively Filling My Bucket.

The lessons gleaned from a year of introspection and growth were abundant, extending far beyond the sights and sounds of different locales. Alongside filling my bucket, I redefined the acronym YOLO (You Only Live Once) to YODO (You Only Die Once). Every day is an opportunity to live fully, to seize each moment. Are you truly embracing every day of your life, or merely coasting through?

As I said in my final blog post of 2023, I lived the shit out of 2023 with zero regrets. I am forever changed. I am fortunate beyond what I deserve and lucky beyond what I care to admit.
