So many life changes since the last post. The cats and I have moved into the Main St House. The Bookcliff House has sold. I've spent many late night and early morning hours in the last week packing, cleaning, unpacking. Life moves forward...

I am just getting back into Grand Junction after a weekend of fun in Blackhawk. Jack Black (my truck) is quite dirty, so I am sitting here typing in the line for the car wash. It's no surprise on a 56 degree day after a long, cold, gray winter that Junctionites are out in full force washing their vehicles too.

I am feeling beyond fortunate that I got to spend more time with my new, but feels like lifelong friends Will + Craig. Craig was in Denver for work. Will flew in to join him and we all traveled to Blackhawk to meet up.

The boys introduced me to Keno. (Insert danger to my pocketbook). A fun, face-paced game of chance that's probably as old as gambling itself. Part bingo, part lottery is probably the best way to describe it. We had all sort of fun playing different numbers and patterns. Move over slots and video poker, I have a new game of choice when it comes to the casino.

Needing a break from gambling, on Saturday we took a ride over to Estes Park, driving the Peak to Peak Highway. Blue skies on the way there and gray and cloudy on the way back, they got to experience a bit of Colorado-life beyond the Denver Metro area. Winding roads and beautiful scenery is what this neck of the woods is made of.

An evening of: Gambling. Cocktails. Gambling. Cocktails. Saturday was a good day.

Sunday, after lunch at the 24/7 cafe bar playing our last few bets of keno and not exactly sure when we'll connect again, they wished me off and we parted ways. It was a great weekend of fun and laughter. A needed reset button after a few weeks of chaos.

A few short hours later and after the stop at the car wash, I just arrived home. The cats seem to be adjusting well to their new surroundings. I counted a few nights ago, and this is move number 9 for them so they are old pros at this moving thing too.

Laundry is started. Truck is washed. The packing for Australia starts now. I'll be on my way for continent number 2 in less than 48 hours!

My mind is clear. Focused. Recharged.

The adventure continues...
